2010 Forklift Training Schedule

GOODWILL ANNOUNCES ENHANCED FORKLIFT TRAINING SCHEDULE FOR 2010 To accommodate more individuals, Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois has enhanced its free forklift training program. Classroom training will not only feature safety training to OSHA standards, but will also prepare participants for interviews and job placement. Once the classroom component is successfully completed, one-on-one training in forklift operations will be scheduled for the participant. A Certificate of Completion is awarded to those who complete the entire training program. All training is held at the agency’s War Memorial location. Appointments are necessary to complete an application prior to participation in the classes. Contact Patrick Cannon at 309-682-1113 to set an appointment. Each session runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a half-hour break for lunch. The hands-on forklift class is individually scheduled with the trainer. Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois provides job training, career and vocational services to individuals who face barriers to employment. Revenues from the sale of gently-used items support the Vocational Services programs of Goodwill.
