Goodwill Receives CARF Accreditation

Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois, Inc., has received a Three-Year Accreditation from CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). The organization has been accredited for Community Services: Community Housing and Employment Services: Employment Skills Training Services. This is the sixth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to the central Illinois Goodwill.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organizations’ substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, and are measurable and accountable.

“Receiving the CARF Three-Year Accreditation affirms for our generous donors, our program participants and the communities we serve that our highest priorities are accountability, transparency and respect,” says Patty Fuchs, president and CEO.
