Job Preparation

Sometimes it's the simplest barriers that prevent good
people from finding good jobs - whether it's knowing how
to dress for an interview, build customer relationships or
use a specific software program.

Goodwill gives people who want to work the tools and confidence they need to seek, secure and keep a job. We explain how to search for a position, create a resume, complete an application and prepare for an interview. We provide training on skills essential in today's workplace - everything from answering phones, entering data and using email and the Internet to interacting with coworkers and handling difficult customers. We even provide hands-on forklift training that meets OSHA standards.

All our classes are free - funded by the sale of donations in our stores - to residents in our 21-county service area. Our students emerge self-confident and job-ready.
