Youth Mentoring

Goodwill GoodGuides is a national youth mentoring initiative that helps youth build career plans and skills as they prepare for school completion, post-secondary training, and productive work by providing structured and supportive relationships with trusted adult mentors.

Service Area – The program will target youth in the Tri-County area and operate from Goodwill Administrative Offices, 2319 E. War memorial Drive, Peoria, IL, 61614.

Target – youth ages 12-17, who are at-risk for juvenile delinquency or who may have already been involved in the juvenile justice system. The program will focus on youth who are at-risk due to poor school performance, dropping out of school, disabilities, mental health issues, homelessness, teen parenting, family instability, and substance abuse.

Community Partnerships – vital to the success of the program, Goodwill will work with local social service agencies who serve youth. Formal MOU’s will be sought to include the juvenile justice agency, Workforce Investment Boards, one-stop career centers, local education agencies, other youth-serving agencies, and faith-based organizations.

Master Mentor – will recruit, screen, train, support, supervise, and track volunteer mentors
Data Management & Reporting Specialist – responsible for collecting performance and spending data from all sources, accurately entering data according to an established schedule, and producing case management and project management reports to assist in the operation of the program.
