Putting donations to work.
You can summarize Goodwill in one word, and that word
is “work.” We put people to work in our retail stores,
donation centers and warehouse. We help those with
barriers to employment prepare for, find and keep work.
And we partner with numerous other organizations—state and federal governments, veterans’ groups, for-profit businesses and non-profit agencies—to ensure those in our community who want to work find the opportunities and resources to do so. Here’s how
it works:
Putting our stores to work
Stocked with donations, our stores deliver quality merchandise to cost-conscious shoppers—generating the funds we use to train adults for employment, prepare young people for life and work, and help veterans readjust to civilian life.
Putting our services to work
Throughout our 21-county territory, we are sought as an expert in employment-related issues and as a partner to help other organizations connect people with job mentoring
and training.
Putting our people to work
We help people find jobs and gain independence. Since 1934, we have been spreading goodwill to those in our community who seek it—offering a hand up instead of a handout, and changing lives through the power of work.
To our donors, shoppers and volunteers—thank you. You make it possible for someone in our community to learn a new skill or find a job. To our employees and board members—bravo. You are serving more people in more stores with more services than ever before. And to our clients—congratulations. You’re discovering the power of self-sufficiency and the dignity of a job well done.
