GoodGuides is a national youth mentoring program dedicated to providing positive youth development to youth ages 12-17. Youth are paired with a volunteer from the community, who serves as a mentor to provide a positive influence. GoodGuides mentors come from all ages and backgrounds – including college students, professionals, homemakers, retirees, and the military. A mentor is someone who youth can look up to, get advice from, and have FUN with! The GoodGuides Program helps youth prepare for their future and maximize their current and future potential.
Our mentors commit to meeting with their youth for about 1 hr a week for 1 year. Mentors can choose either to meet with a small group of 3-4 students at a school once a week, or meet with an individual student after school to do activities in the community. Either way, the commitment works out to about 1 hour a week and gives you the opportunity to help a youth succeed.
