Looking for a way to give away your gently-used clothes, book, CDs or housewares? Donate them to your local Kewanee, IL Goodwill store! Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois has eleven stores and two donation centers throughout the region. Almost anything you have can be donated: your clothing, kitchen appliances, shoes, even your old car!

Aside from just opening up space in your attic or garage, donating to Goodwill has a real-world impact on your community! The items you donate are sold back to local consumers and a percentage of profits fund community outreach programs. Plus, you can deduct your donated items from your income taxes! Charitable donations can help you as well as the people in your community.

Do’s and Don’ts of Donating

No matter where you look around your home, there is something that can be resold at the Kewanee, IL Goodwill location. We accept a host of items easily found in your home! Here’s a short list of acceptable donations:

Clothing and shoes
Bed linens and curtains
Furniture (dressers, bed frames, tables, chairs)
Jewelry
Housewares, including kitchen utensils
Leisure items: books, movies, music (VHS, CD, DVD format)
Games, toys, and sports equipment
Stereos, radios, and small electronics

However, some items are not okay for donation at Goodwill. Be sure to refrain from bringing in the items listed below:

TVs
Baby products: high chairs, car seats, etc.
Large appliances: stoves, refrigerators, freezers
Mattresses and box springs
Waterbeds or sofa beds
