Peoria LC- Highway Construction Careers Training Program
Do you have a valid driver’s license?
Are you 18 years or older, have your highschool diploma or GED, and have an interest in working the construction trades?
Would you like to learn how to participate in the Highway Construction Careers Training Program?
If YES, attend a session! A Highway Construction Careers Training Program has been implemented to increase the number of minorities, women, and disadvantaged individuals working on IDOT highway construction projects.
The Training consists of an intensive 12-week program (Feb. 26-May 18) to learn the skills necessary for acceptance in the trades and the opportunity for a career with high wage earning potential. The training includes but is not limited to:
- Math for trades
- Job readiness
- Technical skills coursework
- OSHA 10-hour certification
- First Aid/CPR certification
