Reception of Honor – 2018
Goodwill held its 5th Annual Reception of Honor on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. The event honored veterans, active military personnel, and the people and organizations that support them. The evening was hosted by WMBD-TV’s Lauren Langer.
The Business Patriot Award was presented to Jake’s Place of Pekin. The Citizen Patriot Award was given to Dave Johnson. Megan Patterson was honored with the Military Patriot Award, and the Veteran Patriot Award was given to Bill Bontemps.
One winner was also presented the General Wayne A. Downing Award.That honor went to Bill Bontemps.
“This is such an important event for us,” said Don Johnson, Goodwill’s president and CEO. “Through our veterans’ services, we support these men and women year-round, but we must also express our gratitude. This includes the people and organizations who support them, both during a time of service and when that service is done.”
